Advocacy Program

It is a fundamental right of every child to be humanely treated and respected, to have an acceptable standard of living, to have access to basic necessities, and to positively participate in society. By doing so, children are more likely to grow and develop in a way that allows them to realise their full potential.

However, for millions of children around the globe, this is not the reality. Many suffer abuse, neglect, and deprivation, or are the victims of extreme poverty. Others suffer the effects of violent conflict, economic and political instability, or environmental disasters. Still others silently suffer ostracism and discrimination, based on their gender, religion, socio-economic situation, or disability. Irrespective of the circumstances, ALL are being denied one or more of their basic rights as human beings.

Realising this, the A.R.C. Worldwide Trust is committed to advocating for the basic rights of children who are the victims of such factors. Consequently, our Advocacy Program currently focuses on three specific avenues:
