Barmhartige Samaritaan
Barmhartige Samaritaan is an organisation established and operating on the island of Curaçao, in the Netherlands Antilles. The purpose of the organisation is to provide for the physical, mental and material needs of less-fortunate and vulnerable children, youth and parents, especially those living in poverty.
Barmhartige Samaritaan provides food parcels, repair services, household goods, and other basic necessities to children and families identified as most in need. Additionally, the organisation operates a neighbourhood centre providing counselling, church services, and weekend activities for local children.
As part of our Aid Program, the A.R.C. Worldwide Trust donated a number of items to the organisation in July 2006. Donated items were those we perceived as necessary for the services provided by Barmhartige Samaritaan, which included second-hand household goods such as towels and crockery, in addition to a BBQ grill and stationary.
Volunteers assist Barmhartige Samaritaan to administer activities, and the organisation operates entirely through donations, gifts and bequests from individuals, companies and church groups. Donations of food, household items, clothes, stationary, children games and toys, and books are gratefully received, along with other items.
If you are interested in providing a donation or would like more information about Barmhartige Samaritaan, please contact the organisation directly.

The A.R.C. Worldwide Trust would like to express its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Henry of Barmhartige Samaritaan for providing the transport and taking the time to collect the items we donated.
