Child Labour in Brazil. The report provides a summary of the child labour issue in its global context, as well as describing some of the international legislation and organisations currently addressing the issue. An overview of the child labour situation in Brazil is then given, as well as an in-depth look at some of the organisations actively working to address child labour in the country.

Child Labour in Latin America: A Brief Overview. This summary paper provides a broad outline of child labour across Latin American countries, and looks specifically at incidence rates and demographic factors including gender, education, poverty and health. The paper also discusses the continuing decline in the total number of child labourers across the continent, and the rehabilitative initiatives that appear to be playing a part in this decline and having a beneficial impact on former labourers. The paper concludes with a description of some international agreements aimed at reducing/eliminating child labour.

Child Labour in South Africa: A Brief Overview. This summary paper discusses the issue of child labour within the South African context. Specifically, the paper identifies the types of child labour prevalent in the country, in addition to the antecedents and consequences of labour for South African children. An overview of some of the country's legislation regarding the issue is provided, in addition to a broad discussion of how the problem may be best addressed.

Child Labour in Nepal. This summary paper gives an overview of child labour in Nepal, and provides insights into the complexities of the situation including where the root of the problem lies and what needs to be done to alleviate the problem in the country.

HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean: A Brief Overview. This summary paper provides an overview of the HIV/AIDS situation in the region. Specifically, the summary paper discusses the prevalence and incidence of HIV/AIDS according to a variety of sociodemographic indicators, and concludes with an outline of some of the services available for affected children within the region.

Adolescent Girls in India. The report gives a general overview of adolescents in general, followed by a detailed analysis of adolescent girls in India. Cultural, social, psychological and developmental aspects are explored, in addition to various policies, legislation and programmes currently available to this cohort.

Children and Primary Education: A Global Analysis of Access, Participation, Retention and Completion. The report provides a regional overview of children's access to and participation in primary education, by looking at estimated total numbers and proportions of out of school children, and enrolment rates. The report also provides an overview of dropout and completion rates, in addition to describing characteristics common to out of school children, in each region.

A World Fit For All Our Children...Or Is It? This opinion article provides an overview of some factors impacting children around the globe - from child prostitution, child slavery, and child killings. In a thought-provoking fashion, the article questions why the Convention on the Rights of the Child does not appear to be benefitting all children in countries where it has been ratified; why the priorities of modern governments tend to be focussed on everything but the well-being of our children; and why the humanity is not doing more on a global scale to invest in the lives of our children.
